NICE
National Institute of Cooperative Education

The N.I.C.E. (National Institute on Cooperative Education) conference is an exciting educational experience. This conference, normally in late July, has been conducted in such places as Chicago, Atlanta, St. Louis, and Knoxville. Students attending the conference work in teams to enhance knowledge of cooperative business principles, practice group decision making skills, develop valuable leadership abilities, and get to know their peers from across the U.S. A fun-filled and information-packed five day event, NICE is the largest youth conference in the country that is dedicated to educating its attendees about the cooperative form of business.

KCC strives to educate our youth on the unique features of the cooperative business model. The Council and N.I.C.E. share objectives for NICE participants: develop an understanding of the issues creating challenges and opportunities for cooperatives today; increase the understanding of how cooperatives are organized and operated;
and encourage youth scholars to explore career possibilities with cooperatives.
